Discarded Needles

“Discarded Needles” is a short rhyming poem about addiction and suicide. Most likely written in late 2021.

Trigger finger to my temple

With the ghost of a gun.

Discarded needles,

Never do it for the fun.

Because you’re suicide

And I’m Kurt Cobain,

You know my addictions

But you’ll never know the pain.

Suicide crowds my mind,

Ideation, devastation,

Urges to destroy

Everything that I’ve created.

I don’t want to get hit,

But I already see the wave,

Crashing my chest and kissing my skin,

Consume every drug until I’m in a grave.
